The Book Mice and Men are about 2 guys who are trying to accomplish their dream without getting any trouble blocking their dream. 12 Angry Men is about 12 Jurors who are locked inside of a room voting guilty or not guilty for a boy who committed a crime. The quote- "The right thing to do isn’t always the easy thing to do." is a quote that shows up in Mice of Men Written by John Steinbeck and 12 Angry Men Written by Reginald Rose. This is because in 12 Angry Men Juror number 8 voted not guilty and it was the right thing to do but it wasn't easy. Juror number 3 had a hard time for him voting guilty or not guilty. It also shows up in Mice of Men where Carlson shoots Candy’s dog and when George kills Lennie. This is how it shows up in Mice of Men and 12 angry men. (WHAT ABOUT IN OF MICE AND MEN?)"The right thing to do isn’t always the easy thing to do" shows up in 12 angry men. For example, Juror number 3 voted guilty but he was bringing up his son into the case and he is not focusing in the case. For juror number 3 it was hard for him to change his mind, and then he changes his mind. Juror number 3 is a strong and forceful, and doesn’t really care about others opinions. Juror #3 put his personal feelings in then using his facts. The way Juror #3 shows his personal feelings by judging people by their way they act. Juror #3 says that kids now have no respect only because his son has no respect for him. Juror 3 says his kid hit him in his face and saying that why wouldn’t the 19 years old kid do the same. Also juror number three voted guilty because he took his anger at in the kid because he had angry at his son so he found it easier to vote guilty. He even said that he wanted to pull the switch and while juror number eight was demonstration how the kid had walked if he was running away. So it was easy for him to say not guilty instead of going all over the work. So from the start he had convinced himself by voting not guilty. The quote shows up again in 12 Angry men another example is Juror number 8 wanted to go over all the details before they see if the boy is guilty or not. But the other jurors voted guilty and not guilty right away, before going over the facts and evidence. Also Juror number 8 reaches to his pocket and takes out a knife, without anyone noticing. And he jams it to the table and it got everyone’s attention. Everyone was staring at the knife. It was the right thing to do because (HOW THIS SHOWS THAT IT WAS DIFFICULT OR THAT IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO)''The right thing to do isn’t always the easy thing to do" shows up in Mice and men when Carlson shoots Candy's dog. It was difficult for Candy because Candy raised him since he was a pup and also because once Candy heard the gun shot he faced the wall and didn’t say a word. Candy was so depressed because his dog was the only good friend he had but his dog didn’t do anything much .Candy was looking for help to save his poor old dog. Once Candy's dog was dead it was totally silence. It was the right thing to do because Candy's dog smelled and the men’s kept on complaining about the did. It affected most of the people. Like once Carlson he smelled Candy's dog. Candy's dog could eat or walk and it was old. And it was supposed to be Candy's responsibility to shoot his dog not Carlson's. "The right thing to do isn’t always the easy thing to do" shows up in Mice and men when George came up with an idea to protect Lennie. He told Curley to lie that his hand got stuck into a machine so his wife wouldn't find out."The right thing to do isn’t always the easy thing to do" shows up in Mice of Men when George went to look out for Lennie and once George found Lennie he was telling Lennie to imagine their own land and him tending the rabbits and to look at the side of the river. Ideas
No main idea, purpose, or central theme exists; reader must infer this based on sketchy or missing details
Main idea is vague; maybe broad or simplistic
Main idea is well-marked by quality details but could benefit from additional information
Main idea is clear, supported, and enriched by relevant anecdotes and details
Organization
Hard to follow; needs much re-ordering
Some out of place information; attempt at structure
Order works well with topic and purpose; strong leads, thoughtful transitions
Flat language or thesaurus overload; author searches for words to convey meaning
Impaired meaning but now and then a “juicy” phrase or some “salsa” (Missing at least one strong very, quality adjective or “ly” word per paragraph)
Precise, vivid, natural language; striking, fresh phrases (Most paragraphs have more than one strong verb)
Powerful, stunning verbs; you want to read it more than once to savor the words (Many strong verbs and quality adjectives in piece)
Sentence Fluency
Awkward enough to make reader stumble, re-read often (Relies too much on one particular type of opener)
Mechanical, but still readable; repetitive beginnings (A few different sentence openers)
Easy going flow, highly readable, purposeful sentence beginnings (Different sentence openers and some transitions)
Skims, sings, dances along like a lively script; easy to read with inflection (Many different sentence openers and excellent transitions)
Voice
Author is incapable of personalizing at this stage due to struggling with idea
Author’s voice is hard to recognize, even if reader is trying desperately to “hear” it
Author attempts to address topic, purpose, and audience in sincere and engaging way; piece still skips a beat here and there
Author speaks directly to reader in individual, compelling, and engaging way that delivers purpose and topic; although passionate, author is respectful or audience and purpose
Noticeable, distracting errors that may affect meaning
Author has reasonable control over standard conventions for grade level; conventions are sometimes handled well; at other times, errors distract and impair readability
Errors are few and only minor editing is needed to publish

Climax- Author writes the setting again from the begining and he is ending the story exactly where he started it. L comes out and starts drinking water just like in the begining. L starts talking about that G is going to be mad and he is going to live in a cave. L imagines his Aunt Clara and has an argument with her, the same argument he had with G at the begining. He imagines a rabbit. Rabbit tells G he is going to leave him after he beats L and L cries out for G and G comes out. G sits next to L and L said he did a bad thing. G doesnt get upset. In the distance you can hear the men coming. G and L are arguing the argument from the begining and G is calm because he knows what is going to happen. The men are getting closer and G tells L to take off his hat. And then to look away from G across the river. G takes out Carlson's Gun. G was looking at L neck and it was the same place where carlson said to shoot candys dig. G tells L that he is gonna have his place with no more trouble and no more hurt. The men are getting closer. G shoots L and L laid without shaking. Which means L is at peace.
