It turns out that Palmer said hi to Dorthy but Dorthy ignored him. In the book it said that "she's probably mad because i didnt invite her to my party" Palmer was telling Dorthy how much fun they had at his party he was telling her that he got punches on his arm and his new nickname "Snots" Palmer tried to get his attention with his bruise on his arm. Palmer kept on asking her "do you want to see my bruise? do you want to feel it" Dorthy didnt tell them nothing she was just playing hopdscotch as if there was no one there. Palmer and his friends tryed to get all of her anttention but still not, so they left.
What i think is going to happen next is that Palmer wont tell his mom what happen to his arm. Palmer's mom notice Palmer's arm. She was going to go crazy & his father said "The Treatment" and Palmers mom was confuesed when his father said "The Treatment." As the father was explaining he said "Its been a tradition for years around here.On your birthday you get knuckled once for each year old you are." But Palmer's mom really didnt care of what he said she just kept on lifting Palmers arm on his bruise.
